PEOPLE IN KANSAS I LIVE IN WICHITA WE NEED TO MAKE A KANSAS CLUB AND START SOME MEETS AFTER THE SNOW IS GON BECISEDS MY CAR IS DOWN NOW I NOW PROABLLY ABOUT 6 PEOPLE WITH DSM LETS GET ON THIS PEOPLE FOR YEARS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT IT STILL NOTHING FOR THE SAKE OF DSM's
 
Make the drive to KC and we'll meet up at KCIR when it opens. I try to organize at least one "Track Day Meet Up" at least once a year.
 
When the track opens in the spring I will set up a thread for a KCIR "Track Day" meet. Last year we did this I tried to have everyone meet up at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Raytown just 3-4 miles north of KCIR. Scheduling conflicts arose and no one showed up there. Then we went to the track. There was about 6 of us there. Hopefully this year we can have a better turn out and hopefully I can run a 12 sec pass.
 
hey man i just moved here to Manhattan and i agree im all about it lets start something around here.

hey im originally from lawrence but moved to ames ia last year. shoot me a pm when u have a meet in the kc area cause ill show with bout a dozen dsms from up here. we've been having meets in this area and it would be good to get all the dsms from ia, mo, ne, and ks to join in one big event. maybe set up a giant car meet with prizes/trophies???

That would be bad ass for a meet with all of the surrounding states but that would be a bi*** to try and organize.
ProjectGS are you still working at the convention center? I was up there the other day and I was hoping to see you car in the employee's garage but no luck :sosad:.
One of the reasons it was difficult for me to meet up at BWW last time is because I couldn't get off work to make it down there. Then by the time I got there, I had no idea who any of all of you were. If we decide to do that again this year, I'll do better at getting off early.
If we wait until summer, I should have my slicks and C16 by then, and I'll hopefully be able to get some runs in.
Does anyone know the kind of protective clothing I need because of the bigger turbo and nitrous? I know I have to have a fire jacket but I don't know about anything else.
 
Yep I still work there. Was probably just off or parked up on our dock next to our office. I had someone back into my car in the covered parking lot.

I think we should make the plans the same as last time, BWW's about an hour to an hour and a half before the track opens. Then get to the track and get some runs in. I'll try to get to BWW a little bit earlier than I did last time. Date will be determined upon receiving the track's '09 schedule.
 
I just got back into the dsm world, but It will be a while before mine is up and running. Doing a complete rebuild so its slowly but surely. Im hopin to have the motor in the car by the end of the summer. If you decide on a meet let me know I might just have to show up in the civic LOL.

Hey man im only 20 minutes north of wichita and would love to meet other guys in the area. Are they doing the import nights at the track this year?
