That’s a nice Mid Western town. Does that mean you are driving a Waukesha powered Talon? Dresser, Inc.
Well, you were asking about Mid West wise guys.

Because a majority of these cars were originally purchased by nerdy white guys who weren't into gold chains and mullets (ahem F-body owners), and there's a heavy abundance of us in the midwest. The DSM group realized this and so built their main plant right in the middle of us all in Illinois.

also the fact that they don't have much else to do out there other than work on cars without the stiff restrictions of other areas of the country helps

It's cause someone told them that a DSM would make a good substitute vehicle for a tractor pull.
"It's turbocharged AND has good traction for the dirt!"

Not all of us worry about driving on dirt. The road by my house was black topped four or five years ago. Why I can even get all the way to Grubville without driving on dirt.
Not that there’s anything wrong with driving on dirt.

It really does seem like all the best-versed DSMers are from the midwest...
Prez, who pioneered the use of Megasquirt on DSMs, is from Des Moines, Iowa.
