DSMers in Ames

I'm looking for DSMers in Ames to get together every once in a while. Anybody interested? Possibly even this weekend?

Also, I'm wondering about a specific 1g TSi in Ames, it's a maroon-ish color, with same-color hub cab centers, and the driver lives in Frederiksen Court. Anyone know who this is?

I'm not there right now just starting an internship but my roommate and another friend are all doing project DSM cars. Actually just got done doing a 6-bolt swap and bunch of other stuff to my car in one of the small garages at my apartments. I think we are going to start on my friends there in a couple months. The more help the better to bad you hadn't said something earlier. I don't know who owns that car but I think I may have seen it once or twice.

I am 1 1/2 hours north of you guys but i am usually game for driving down there and working on dsm's or just chilling. I had helped krummel with his dsm a few weeks ago, and I have known his roomate for a couple years. This weekend is a bad one because the girlfriend and I are gonna be in chicago for a nissan convention. You already know about the dsm meet in des moines on the 14th?

I didn't know about that. Are you going to go? I'm all the way in Cedar Rapids so it is going to be kind of hard for me to make it. The car is running great other than the fact that I floored it and blew the power steering bolt. Haha never had that happen before now I have to re-bleed that when I get back. Thing pulled real hard for 15 psi I think the cams did quit a bit. Trying to get my e85 setup finalized should be getting all the parts here soon if I get the money together for this deal I found.

I ended up running into that guy with the maroon Talon, he's gonna be at the meet as well. He's on here, but he didn't give me a username when I talked to him.

I am planning on going to the meet. There is talk of rescheduling, though. It looks as if downtown Des Moines might be under 3-6 feet of water by saturday.

I don't see why we can't bring parts... I keep all of my spare stuff in the car anyway, just in case.

If anyone's got a stock boost controller sitting around, please bring it... I broke mine.

What were you thinking, time-wise?
