Ok here it is... I am setting up a drag race for all who wants to run their non modified and modified 1gs and 2gs and anything else they want. It will be held at Hartland Park on the drag strip September the 6th. I belive that is the next open drag night. It will be 10 dollars a car all night long. We will meet there about 7:30p.m. or a little later. The air should be a little cooler so we can get good track times. I am also part of kcsubaru.com and sent them a message about running suby's agaisnt dsm's and they all were up for it. I need to see if there are anybody down for doing it. Let me know!!!

I'm am in.
I just hope that we have a stronger showing of dsmers this time. It would really suck if the subaru's had more people there then us, at our own meet :toobad: :nono: . Lets not let that happen.

If I get my tranny back in by then I'll bring my 1g if not is it cool if I bring my 3g?

Im in the same boat as sureloser. If I can get a transmission for my 1g and get it in I will be there. If I cant Ill be stuck watching.

If i get my fuel trims dialed in and finish making my shrouding around my radiator, then i'm down. We'll see how much i can get done tomorrow. Hopefully the weather cools down some, the cars won't like this heat running down the track.

This just pissed me off... Hartland Park closed their open drag strip to the public last wednesday. no more after that. ugh... im so mad i had it set up for everyone to go and now its ####ed up... physchodsm told me there is an all tuner drag at kcir on the third so everyone who planned on coming is more than welcome to come to this one. i am probably going..

Count me in for the 3rd at KCIR. Any idea how much it is going to be for entrance?

Yea it's called import face off. I'll be there so lets have everyone show up to kcir. Lets show them what the midwest dsm group is all about. ROFL
This is a good thing for me, that it closed to the public, since i dont have to take off work now.

That's everything you need to know.
I went to this thing last year and it was pretty cool. The midget wrestling is a little fake but the blood is real. One of the wrestlers name is the immigration sensation ROFL . Last year I got the flyers (they give you a discount on entrances fees), but this time my car wasn't really out and about to much. They usually put them on the modified cars and since I have a blown turbo, my baby has been resting at home.

Yea as stated above, going with my car is a little sketchy right now. I have a blown turbo and as such I dont know if I'll get my replacement in and my car runnning by then. I'll just have to wait and see.

Do we want to meet somewhere and go together as a group. I think that would be pretty cool. Any suggestions where we should meet.

Actually I just read on the site and they said you can print the flyers and still get a discount. So yea I found they site for ya and now we can get the discounts.

Ok here is the plan. I will be headed up there on the night before to get a hotel room. I want to be there first thing in the morning to get registered early. I am printing many flyers with my phone number on it and putting them on cars all around town. Here is my number for any of you if you are interested in going up there together and getting a room. 785-393-3632.

Kyle

i'll go to this, I can meet some midwest DSMers, my mom lives like 5 min from kcir and it just happens to be my luck that I will be in town during that time. I look forward to meeting you guys.

Killakev --> where in the DFW area are you? I used to live in Arlington a few years back. Hope you can make it to the faceoff. It will be good to meet some DSMer's from around the country.

I'm almost positive that i'll be there, are any of you actually going enter some of the drags? Or just going to watch and hangout. I'd love to race, but the car deff. won't be tuned well enough to make some solid runs. I'll bring the car but won't run it yet.

I'll probably not race since I really dont have enough mods to be considered a serious racer, cause from the talk I've heard from some of the local shops, there are going to be some seriously fast cars there. It would be kinda dumb of me to line up against a 12 sec car when I've havent broken 15 yet.
WE DO NEED TO HAVE A DAY WHERE WE CAN ALL RACE JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT. HAVE OUR OWN DSM MEET. KCIR is open every wedn. and friday night, so we can go whenever. The problem is that we'll probably be racing some 11 sec muscle cars. Every once and a while there is a 9 sec. car that shows up on a friday night. But who cares, it's all for fun.

So i'm guessing that we are all just going to meet up there at the track? Or are people wanting to get together before that time somewhere?

I talked to kyle (eclipseGS) and told him that I live like a couple of mins from the track, and they're are a ton of hotels around my house. As such, if everyone wants to you can get a place near my house, we can have a bbq at my house and then we can all drive there the next morning.
FYI, I just turned 18 on the 8th so I still live with my parents. I just hope no one has a problem with that.
Let me know what everyone thinks about that idea.
