Any meets going on in the area?? I have'nt seen any recently. If not, any interest of getting one started??

I wouldn't mind finding a meet somewhere around Va too, just to see what others have done to their DSM'S.

I did schedule and arrange a lot of meets before but I now have a 2ys old son. The past couple of years have been slow but things at home are getting more manageable so my car hobby is starting to pick up again. Me and a bunch of dsm friends(Team Trinity) have a bunch of meets during the year so you should also check out my website. We will be having a day at Richmond dragway before the season is over, just havent decided on a weekend yet.

Anyway, what part of Richmond are you in? I just moved from Midlothian this year but have also lived in the west end and right inside the city off of Jahnke rd.

I live near the Short Pump Mall (about 3 miles from). We should arrange a meet somewhere between us. I want to see the the Va DSM world looks like.

Yeah im down as well, im coming from Charlottsville though. So let me know when this is going down.

I'd like to set something up if there is no "established" meet anywhere nearby. PM me if you would like to stage something. Hopefully we can make this happen

im down, last richmond meet i attended was when it was at the hooters at chesterfield towne center. and thats been a while.

Speaking of which, you know I got your 97 from Nikki, right? Soon, it will be stock again and a daily driver.;)

I would love to schedule something but I would rather just be given a date, time, and place to show up. And in order for my car to show up, the meet would have to be in the Chester/Colonial Heights area. I dont really want to take it out on the street more than 10 miles away from home.

Better yet for me, we can do a cookout/meet at my house. But Im not supplying everything.

Any good places to meet near the Arby's on Temple Ave?? Maybe across the street at Buffalo Wild wings.
If so, why not meet around there 11/3 just to give people plenty of notice and planning time.
Also, do we want to keep this stricktly DSM or anything that isnt rice? (kind of a stupid question but I have a few Mustang buddies as well).

Actually, lets do 11/10. I have alot of little stuff to fix on my car before I can take it into public.

Alright, sounds like a plan is starting to develop.

Since Mustangs have been OK'ed, how about a 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo and a very nicely done supercharged 99 Civic Si??

I will scout out the location this weekend but it will be Sunday before I can get free time. It will def. be in that general area between the Harley shop and I-95, most likely in that shopping center with B-Dubs. I'll check everything out this weekend.

Anyone else with any good ideas as to what we can do during this thing or where to have it, they would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, because of my wife's "honey-do list", I didnt get any free time to run to Colonial Heights. If anyone else has any time to run down there or knows of somewhere nearby that we can do this, feel free to chime in.
I will try to make it down there sometime this week.

Sounds like my wife. I will probably be in Colonial Heights some evening this week so I can check it out better. As far as I am concerned, we can just meet at BWW and decide where to go from thee. They also just built a sports complex a little further down Temple, close to Puddledock. I know they have a driving range and batting cages but dont know about anything else.

Most of the time, I just meet up with my friends (Team-Trinity.com) at the Hooters either in Midlothian or Rt10/95. Then we go from there.

Sounds good man. Let me know if you find a better place. If not, we can just meet up at BWW. Is Team Trinity all DSM's??

Yes, Team Trinity is all dsm's. You can either view the site from my webpage or visit www.team-trinity.com We are the ones that host the GMU DSM meet every year.

here in richmond also would love to meet some more dsm guys,we have a couple of turbo mr2 s in the mix also...let me know some dates....

At this point it looks like 11/10 is concrete and approx noon meeting time. We know we will be meeting at the BWW on Temple Ave in Colonial Heights. What we still dont know is where we will be heading after that, if anywhere.

As far as the MR2s are concerned, bring them, too if you can. The more cars the better. I will be bringing a few Mustang guys and a few Volvo guys and even a nice s/c Si. Anybody that you know with a nice car/truck is welcome to attend.

Lets make this a start of a weekly or bi-weekly event.

Doesnt if figure that a couple weeks before this show, someone hits my car after getting it painted, putting on the suspension and all that. Took out the right front fender between the headlight and the fender arch. SWEET. No note, no nothing.

cant make it, already have an obligation with the JMU car club and the Harrisonburg Subaru Dealership. Next one ill be there.

The date is 11/10 at about noon. Hooters sounds good to me too but lets start at BWW first. We can probably migrate there later on. :thumb:
