hey whats up...new to here have a 95 talon esi fwd with a little problem. ok dont know how to explain this but at times it runs fine, check engine light stays on constantly, and theres times that i have to hold the brake and the gas to keep it running any ideas whats wrong help would be greatly appreciated

the IAC is new just 3 or 4 days old and the motor was just overhauled i ran the computer codes yesterday and it said theres a short in the wiring to the IAC how hard is that to fix? or does that involve replacing the whole wiring system

How extensive was the overhaul? Check for pinched wireing harness around the intake area. The IAC maybe shorted internally.

For starters, we do have a 420A tech section.

As to your problem, check ALL of the wires connected to the IAC; follow those wires all the way to the ECU. If that proves useless, whoever remanned that IAC for you messed up. Go to Autozone and buy a professionally remanufactured one with a return policy. The other alternative would be to pull a junkyard one.

lemme know if u want an iac- i have a used one i can sell i don't need.
