Ok so I'm an Idiot and let my car drop down too fast:ohdamn: and the result was my strut coming out from the top I'm not sure if I broke something as I did not install these.
A: How do I fix this?
B: Do I just need to replace the strut entirely?

What were you doing? The appears to be an install error. Unless you dropped something a foot or two I can't imagine anything you did would be worse than a pothole or fast transition on a road. Is this a new install that somebody else just did? More info please.

I had it lifted and when I was lowering it I must lowered it too fast. And that was the result. I heard something snap/break but that could've been the lip from which I lifted the car at.

Also I did not install this. This weekend was probably the first time I actually looked under the car. :nono:

Is this a new install? Have you driven on it yet? If not how old is it? As I said I can't imagine anything you did would be worse than just driving it. That being said it looks like an install error. Hard to know without seeing all the parts. More info and more history please.

Maybe 20 miles old I guess. I haven't gone anywhere with this set up yet. It "seemed" to drive fine with this Koni/GC setup.

I am starting to get the notion that these were assembled incorrectly. I will take them off and see whats up.

Count yourself lucky. Who did the install?

Some shop that builds motors for the strip. I never let people mess with my car but I was just being lazy and didn't want to wait to have these bad-boys installed.

I know some Honda kid installed them:applause:

Is this Karma?:hmm:

Go back to the shop that did them and have them redo it. Seems like they forgot to install a certain part and it broke. I can't tell if it broke through the mount from the pic but that is like 99% sure incorrect installation.

I had that happen when I let a friend do the install when I was still new to auto repair work. But that was driving it. It also punctured my hood. Needless to say I don't let him go anywhere near my car anymore.

Throught the hood?! ^ I would of been more than pissed. Def. a bad install, hope you got it all straightened out.

I have only seen this when it is installed wrong. If it did infact break, it would of had to break through the metal collar of the top hat that holds it in place.

and I just realized this is from april....
