Intake Air Temp (IAT) Sesor CEL

Hey guys, this is the 3rd dsm that I have owned, I got it back in May and finally had some time to clean some things up. I replaced a cracked J pipe, bought a 3 inch intake from extreme psi, used spa hose to recirculate the BOV (previous owner vented of course), flushed the coolant, and changed oil/filter (mobil 1 10w30).

Problem is, I took her off jack stands, fired her up...and boom..CEL comes on. The car runs pretty good and strong. I drove it autozone to have them check the CEL and its for a Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor. The guy was like it's a 20 dollar sensor if you want to pick it up.

I did some research and found it its inside the MAF on turbo 2g's and read that you can't really replace it unless you know someone who can solder those 7 wires that are showing as soon as you pry open the MAF. Is this true? What should I do? I have a friend who I could trust if I need soldering. I ordered a 95 eprom ecu just recently (plan to run link at some point next yr..older dsm's I used safc and I want this one to run right after I throw some fuel mods at it) and the guy included his 2g maf with it for a good price so I will have another MAF here sometime this week to swap them out and see if the CEL goes away.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

The sensor for turbo's is on the inside of the 2g MAF from what I have researched. I'm not sure if I can replace just the sensor though without having to cut and then re-solder the wires.

Is that my only option, besides trying another 2g maf (which I will when it gets here in the mail).

Anyone?????
