Looking for recommendations for a local shop that can rebuild the tranny in my 92 awd Laser. Anybody ever deal with shops in the Redlands area? AAMCO quoted me around $850 to rebuild it if I remember correctly.

Would like to add to this that I may also just want a shop that would install the transmission I provide. Might have to be a shade tree mechanic but if I have a good recommendation I would look into it.

Youre not going to believe this but i live down the street from you and left a note on your car asking if you want to sell it.

Go outside and grab the note i left.................. I have a garage full of AWD trans parts and i have personally rebuilt at least 10 dsm trannies....

Id rather just buy your car LOL............ but if you want to keep it i can help you rebuild, pull it, and reinstall it yourself.

I will check the note when I leave for class in a few. Selling it was the first thought. I am pretty sure the main issue right now is either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. We can talk about an offer to see if I am interested or not.
