After fixing some boost leaks, I decided to do a log...
I still have 2-3 boost leaks to fix but I just wanted to see how the car was running.

So much knock! Isnt the ECU only able to read 43 counts?! Possibility of a bad knock sensor?

Good grief! OMG That's horrible! First things first - fix your remaining boost leaks before doing any further tuning. Then check your knock sensor to see if it's leaking black goo & if so, replace it. You should probably also turn down the boost before making another log.

43 is the max knock you will see - what logger program are you running? Make sure it is set-up correctly for your vehicle. What are your SAFC settings? I see you have 510cc injectors & a 2G MAF - usually it is recommended to use 550 cc injectors to balance out the 2G MAF. If you have not corrected enough with the SAFC then you may be quite lean. Your O2 voltage seems to indicate you are lean.

Is your 190 lph fuel pump rewired? You've verified that your TPS reads 100% at WOT so eliminate this from the next log & add in IDC's so we can see if fuel delivery is a problem - you may be maxxing out those 510's & your pump may not be providing enough fuel. You also don't need to log the fuel trims.

Also, verify that your base timing is set to 5* BTDC - your timing dips to 3* at the onset of full boost.

I'll be fixing the remaining boost leaks as soon as I receive the parts. The AFC is untouched and is not currently on set on anything due to the leaks. If you recommend to atleast balance them out, let me know.

Im using PocketLOGGER to monitor.

The pump is rewired. I'll go ahead and change the things to log and as far as the timing, its set at 5* BDTC but I'll check again.
I will also be checking the sensor today for any goo

Thanks a lot for the help! I was horrified when I saw the log, I just want to get this resolved asap so the car can run like a champ!

Sorry for the copy and paste, Im in a bit of a hurry :p

Well, IDC looks good and we can see that you were experiencing actual knock, as opposed to phantom knock.

Can you post up your actual SAFC corrections for the Hi throttle table only. Also, you can drop IPW, since we can see IDC. That will give you some more data points.

Thanks for the input! As far as not logging IPW, for some reason that is automatically logged when monitoring IDC.

Also, how can I post SAFC corrections? pictars?

Thanks again!

SAFC corrections +5.00

I'm not sure what you mean here?? Are you saying that all of your SAFC corrections, on the Hi Throttle table are +5%?

top_end95 said:
IPW/IDC are the same option on PocketLOGGER :p

I didn't know that.....interesting. I'm suprised that the guys from Digital Tuning would do that because of the low sampling rate of the ECU. Unless it's just a calculation performed "behind the scenes". I guess I would have to find out if the 1g ECU outputs IPW and IDC or just IPW. Where's Steve when you need him. :p

Is that for just one Ne Point, or across the entire table?

It might be easier if you were to tell me how you set up your SAFC. What TPS trigger points did you use. How did you arrive at the +5% correction? What made you decide on what Points to choose? etc.....

Sorry for the LATE response, been busy with work.
Anyway, like stated above the SAFC is untouched. Im wanting to fix the leaks first before making any adjustments :p But if you recommend to atleast get the intial settings down, I'll do it this weekend hopefully. I 'll post up the logs when I do :)
