Hey guys, I can look everywhere else but I think it'd be best to ask those within the state in which I'll be having the car inspected.

What would the chances of me failing emissions testing if I removed the EGR (blocked off)? I'm thinking of getting a different intake manifold (possibly) but wanted to know if in Missouri we can pass the emssions portion with the EGR not connected/blocked off. Thanks guys.

Not really sure how often you have to have your emissions tested in missouri but you can always do the EGR delete then when it comes time for it to be tested just hook it back up there are not a lot of wrenches to be turned to do this but even if you had it tested without it I don't think there is going to be an issue with it.

They don't do emissions "testing" in MO, or at least I've never seen or heard of it done here. They are supposed to visually inspect the exhaust system to ensure the cat is still there, but again, I've only seen that done once. My local shop only sees my car when they put the sticker on! Luckily I don't pull it into their garage so no questions are asked.

There's 2 year inspections now, so worst case, you could remove the EGR and cat after you pass.

How strict are the inspections over the pond??

I'd say they are close to, but not over, California's equivalent. Although I see the inspection of the UK similar to that of Missouri's (###). But it's all good, you pay for the first inspection, and if it gets fixed withing a week of the inspection the re-inspection I think is free or half the price (£20 instead of £40).

I've never had the sniff test. All they do is a visual inspection for the cat and then send you on your way.
