Just got my Turbo manifold & tubing for my turbosystem back from Jet Hot Racing and man do they look good!! If you have the money I would suggest going this route.

Or go to my gallery...

Sorry for the fuzz in some of the pictures. The turbomanifold & downpipe are done with Jet Hot 2000 , a flat, semi-rough black (almost like a fine sand paper) & are heat resistant to 2500 degrees. The tubing is in Jet Hot Sterling and looks chrome!! It is resistant to 1340 degrees so I won't have to worry about it turning blue like chrome does sometimes!

Another plus is the reduction in under-hood heat - click here for tech info.

Anyway, though it would be cool to show. I will take pics after I install...next week....finally!

Here is a link to JetHot if anyone is interested...very nice people!

I have a tubular header o2 housing and wastegate dump tube at jet hot now for the 2400* black.

Next time choose another host for pics like that to avoid DSMTooners from taking them down.

That might be humerous to other people on other sites, but I question the appropriateness of this here. :shhh:

Keep us posted on how the coating holds up, especially the exhaust.

My friend brian bossone uses the jet hot 2400* black on his exhaust in his 1700 hp 186MPH pro 5.0 class mustang race car. he said his egts are always in the 1900 range.

i want to get my manifold jet hot coated the bright silver color but they tell me its only good to 1500 degrees. will this be good enough??? they sell a grey coating thats good for 2000 degress but i really want the bright silver. does anyone have this coating or know what it will do to it if the 1500 wont hold up?

It will work but you won't have the bright chrome look over time. It fades into a milky chrome / polished color.

the intended purpose of this coating is for performance, such as greater heat discipation, and increased exhaust gas velocities. Looks are just an added benefit. You have to figure out what your priorities are.
After if passes the temperature limit, you will eat away at the coating, then the metal. Are you tuning, or running stock?

This coating is supposed to help retain heat not dissipate it.

While it's possible to damage the coating by exceeding the temperature rating how could you possibly damage the metal? An exhaust component is designed for the high temps and the coating doesn't alter the component.

i am tuning. i have the t3/t4 50 trim kit from apg. i know the coating serves a performance purpose but it also serves as looks for me because i dont want a crappy rusty manifold.

did the color change from the picture after time?? i want the look you have but i dont want it to discolor or burn off after a few weeks. please let me know

also how much did it cost?? im looking to get the manifold, o2 housing, turbine housing and dump tube done.

I had those same exact parts done, they will be delivered back to me tommorrow. I paid $283 including return shipping to have them coated with Jethot 2000 black coating.
They recommended the 2400 degree coating for turbo parts, Said they wont warranty the chrome regular coating.

I can post pics monday.

 Does any body know of a place where they do this in canada ?

Im interested in fully doing the entier exhaust sytem from the manifold to the muffler.

Im pretty shure it wont make me slower just faster.
