I have the chilton manual myself. How is the Haynes?
I've also seen alot of cd's on ebay, are they any good?

I'm pretty happy with my Chiltons manual. Coverage is decent, although I'd never do a major procedure without accompanying it with information from http://www.vfaq.com/; while Chiltons' writing is technically accurate, they usually don't point out the important stuff, like "you will have a large bruise where the transmission landed" or "this bolt will require replacement, because there's no way in hell you're going to get it out in one piece".

If you're looking at the CDs, be aware that most of them are just burns/ripoffs of the work put together by Vineet Singh at http://www.manualcd.com/. Please consider supporting the people who do real work for this community by buying from them, not the people who rip them off.

I have the Factory Dealer Service manuals. All I can say, if theres a bolt on my car it's in the book. It's very nice and handy to have around.

I agree, the factory stuff is pretty much the best. But even they leave a lot of things out. And like Haynes, the earlier factory manuals are better than the newer ones.

I just found some official looking 1G service manuals, online, for free!:hellyeah: You 2G owners might have some luck with these links, too. The site worked perfectly on May 8th, 2009 and the .pdf files downloaded without corrupting.

Good stuff!

If you don't see the manuals you need, try going to The Manuals - Free Manuals Online and do a search. I searched for "Eagle" and turned up the direct links to the aforementioned manuals at OnlineFreeEBooks.net » the most imitated free ebook site

Hope this helps somebody else out.:thumb:
