so im thinking about trading my 2ga gst for a 1ga tsi awd talon heres the things that both have and what would you guys do

my 2g: 2ga gst mostly stock 90k miles, 1g bov, punishment racing fmic, 14b turbo, evo enkie rims, lowered, grey leather interior, boost gauge, hks turbo timer, hks carbon fiber ti exhaust turbo back

the talon: 14b turbo, greedy type s bov (real),255 fuel pump,safc2, awd:thumb:, greedy turbo timer, 3in exhaust turbo back, hallman mbc, fmic kit all hard piping ebay kit, 130,000 miles rebuilt engine about 20,000 on engine

only problems that i need to know about on the talon are it has some rust on the passenger side door sill which i was gonna cut out and weld new sheet metal in good idea bad idea? the other thing is he said he replaced the shifter linkage with a 91 and the car is a 90 and when you get on it in 5th it pops out im not sure what that could be..and the last thing is over about 75mph the steering wheel shakes a little alignment? tires and wheels need to be balanced what are your thoughts??? thanks everyone

oh and if you want pics of the talon let me know i can put the two up i have

Sounds like a lot of problems just to get an AWD. FWDs can be very quick. 2 locals here in Utah have ran high 11s in full weight FWD 2gs.

If you want the car super bad then I'd say trade plus cash cause your car more than likely books for more anyways.

I used to have a GST and there was a dude trying to trade it for a 1g awd. Needless to say, I said no. Sold my 2g and bought a 1g and I still had some money to play around with. If you want a 1g awd I don't recommend a trade, but selling your GST and buying a 1g awd.

Doesn't sound like the 1g has any major problems, for a diy'er anyway. I wouldn't trade for it, may buy it as an addition to the fleet though.
