well, i have owned about 50 of them. both 1g and 2g, front wheel drive and all wheel drive. turbo and non turbo.
so i finally sold my 95 gsx that i converted to 2gb with full black leather, and all the other good stuff. i swore up and down that i would not buy another, and get myself and family out of debt. so i sold the car for 4,200, and paid off all debts. well just a few days ago, i was reading craigslist and stumbled across a 1995 gsx that was ridiciously cheap. so i call the guy and i asked him why he hasn't sold the car yet. so he tells me that he cannot sell it to just anyone, cause of all the problems that it has.
well he tells me the list of problems.,......
horrible clear coat peeling on the roof
front seats are ripped up
a problem with the new clutch
. so i figured that this car was a turd. but hey, for the price i was told, he would even drive it to meet me ( 400 mile trip). so how bad could this car really be??????????
so i decide to buy it site - unseen for the sum of 1,293.00 yes, that was about all i could come up with after cashing in all my change, and borrowing 1,200 from the devil (
). so he drove the car 3/4 of the way, and i drove it home.........................
what a amazing running, driving and handling 14 year old car! i drove it home with not a single problem. boost great, stops on a dime, and runs great. what else could i ask for?
well, now i have had the car for almost a week, and swore that i would not touch it .
i could not resist.....
so here are some pics of shaving off the old low rise wing. i have not drilled the holes for the high rise wing yet, cause i want to get the car painted first and see what it looks like with out the wing at all.
i know the first thing to do to a dsm is maintanece, but i got no receipts for all the work that he said was done to it, but i pulled the trans out and replaced the shift fork, which was not letting the clutch disengage all the way. i seen that it had a brand new oem clutch, but i opted to put in a act 2100 while it was apart.
so as for all the other work that he said was done, i can confirm 90%, and he gave me tons of pics of the car with the engine out at his house, and it all being stripped apart.
oh, did i mention that this car has 188,xxx miles on it , with 150-158 across the board?
here are a few more
