VW's are definitely nice inside, and look good on the outside... but I am not a fan of how the newer ones drive, due to them being a bit on the heavy side. I also feel that they are a bit overpriced for a "peoples car".
 
Hows about these videos since you brought up the VW cars.

My sister ended up with a Jetta 1.8T and I picked it up for her etc. The thing is peppy between 2k-3.5k, not unlike an stock 2g (or even better) but it becomes very gutless very fast after 4k or so. Nice car though, just not as fast as VW owners like to think.

But that cam adjuster seal leak problem.. what a bi***. Pretty much a grand for the repair or a few hours on your own to fix it, if you're feeling up to a crammed the #### in engine bay. Good leather though.
