A early 80s camaro are good looking cars, good luck with yours.
I was going to paint over the a/c delete but i think it gives it a special touch

The rims are FD Wheels.

I'm more astonished that you work on your car in flip flops then I am of you selling your Talon. I can't tell you how many times I've spilt and drop stuff on my feet. Good looking build though.

I hate shoes, i'll wear flip flops until my toes get pink in winter.

What the hell is the matter with you?ROFL:D:sneaky:

Next time I board a plane, they're gonna stop me at the metal-detector, and make me take the DSM out of my pockets! How could you? Can't you find a 1.8 for $500 just to keep around?

I can appreciate the flip-flops, and I love the blue masking tape on your intake ports, but shiznit, I'm a air-cooled VW guy at heart. Go buy another DSM on-the-cheap while you still have a soul! Don't go muscle/iron! I know the temptation, I have an '01 F250 with the V10. Light/little cars are so much cooler! Unless you're into big women, too. Then I guess I understand;)

P.S.: For a while, my bug had floor pans that were made out of 1/8 inch aluminum street-signs. Thjey were neighborhood-watch signs, to be exact. I marched down the street, ratcheded the signs off of the posts, walked them back to my house, and jig-sawed then down to size. No one said a word. Those floor-pans are steel now, but I like the block-off plates.

That was a gorgeous talon. I had a white 93 awd talon that looked very similar and i regret selling it to this day. That was about 6 years ago. The laser doesn't do it for me like the talon did, but it's close. Good luck with the lead sled.

That was a very nice 1g you had!
Any plans of turboing the bu? Is the current engine stock, any cam or head work, etc?
Good to see you have the slicks on the back already

I will always have a place in my heart for a DSM, like i said before I will come back...just wanted to try something new for one.

Thanks should be a fun project

I just hope that talon went to a goo home.. and yeah nice project you now have on your hands and it seems your up doing it very quickly. :thumb:

Oh i was very picky where she went, but she did go to a good home...A good friend of mine owns it now...This is the 4th DSM he has added to his DSM lot.

LQ4 6.0 I believe the iron block 6.0 from the GM pickups.

it came out of a 2000 or 2001 GMC sierra

That was a very nice 1g you had!

Good to see you have the slicks on the back already

As of now it is stock, but i am pickup a T-Rex Cam, if i get lucky a FAST intake, headers, and nitrous for now(150 to 200 shot)...Maybe down the road i might slap a turbo on it

I can't wait to see the finished project :thumb:

I'll keep you guys updated on it...me selling my DSM doesn't mean I'm leaving the DSM world. I'll still be lurking around :p

^^^ Agreed. Turbo V8 is fun but superchargers rock the crap out of V8's.

Good looking project man.

if your gonna go n/a with the malibu you should go carburated for that old muscle feel to it. if you ever force feed it, you should go super instead of turbo. Super chargers are much easier on v8's. nice car though.

I'm not going to go carb, I have the full wiring harness and ecu. I'll worry about boost later down the road(maybe 2 to 3 years from now)

I just talked to my buddy with a 94 z28 camaro and he was thinking of doing heads and cam but now he says he can get the 6L iron block and do a LS1 swap for about the same price. Much more potential than the LT1 in the long run. And he said just what you did about about the 6.0L truck blocks (iron) being stronger so maybe he could hit some spray on it too. Glad your having fun with the new car.

I did the same thing. I did a V8 swap in my 96 s10! Halls ass! Your talon looked sexy man.. Ive always wanted a Malibu. Lets see some videos when shes finished.

I'll keep you guys updated on the progress, maybe near spring she should be up and running :hellyeah:

downgrader...!

j/k good luck with the GM...my cousin is building a 6.0L for his 00 Camaro SS...sound beefy

Haha... Now you can watch horsepower TV and actually put some of their products they test and showcase to use. Seems like all they work on are GM LS, Ford 302, and big block V8's. Oh yea... and one honda 4 years ago...

I saw the exhaust manifold mounted upside down and backwards, seems like someone's got big plans... Looks cool, I'd have to change up the interior though. :barf:

BTW, where did you pick up the engine and trans from? I've been wanting to do the same sort of swap for my 1963 C10. If I can't find one it's getting a 4G!! :hellyeah:
