my girlfriend for the last 4 1/2 years has lived in st. louis, mo while im 3,000 miles away in san diego, ca and she still hates my dsm's. when she calls to talk im always sitting the phone on the valve cover or taking it under the car with me... and if thats not enough when she comes out to visit it always breaks down. last christmas while she was out my car decided to catch on fire in downtown san diego... good thing it doesn't snow here.

to say the least shes hates my car(s) and i have two dsms. but you know what i have to say about it, f' em. i met her when i was 20 and i met my first dsm when i was 14 and it was love at first site.

My wife HATED my GSX. It was beautiful and tastfully modded, but she hated that I spent so much time on it. It commited suicide about a year ago. Now that I have my evo9 she loves it!? wierd. But shes all about her turbo supra so who know whats going on there.
P.S. I agree, If you can find a car girl, keep her! I have pics of my wife changing her own oil! These girls are out there guys.

Mine did not like them ''at-first''. I made her sell her new scion tc and I gave her one of mine (I have alot), I gave her a stock 98' northstar white GSX that I bought bone stock from a dealer months ago (around may, I THINK).

I then took it back off her for a day and did tein coil overs, rota slipstreams, fmic kit, walbro pump, fuel system, ported/clipped 20g, atmospheric dumptube, 8k hids, hks bov, AMS small battery kit, 3" turboback exhaust, tripple pillar pod and a dual cluster pod with all the gauges, boost controller, ETC ETC ETC. She really likes the car now, And daily drives it to and from work.
My whole intentions were for her to be safe in the winter (AWD), When she is going to/from work.

My girlfriend (now EX) loved my DSM. She actually knew quite a bit about it and showed alot of interest in the hobby. She even almost picked up a 2G Talon of her own. She only got pissed if I was spending too much time in the garage. But she was smart enough to blame that on me and not the car itself. That kept her liking the car.

^ hahahahaha. Damn some of these replies are hillarious. I almost got my gf to buy an 97 Eclipse RS just last night. She was SO excited about it, she already had the money in hand. Then I test drove it and was complete junk so I had to talk her OUT OF getting the car. Maybe shes a bigger DSM fan? Nah!

She wasnt too happy when I spent $1000 in one shot last week with SBR. She said, I wish you would spend that kind of money on me! I kinda just walked away slowly (like on Family Guy)

Then 2 nights ago, we were eating dinner at Chillis and we were walking up to my car. The light was hitting it just right and I said, ''Damn, this thing is seeexy'' Yeah, she wasnt too happy about that one either...

My wife loves my dsm and the more hp I add the more she loves it.. I don't tell here exactly how much I spend which is probably part of the reason she like it, but what ever works. Dsm chicks are the shit and before I met her I had a 1ga and 1gb and never had any problem picking up chicks. Most chicks love dsms and tire biters are good too.

I never had my wife bi*** once!! She just wont ride in it cause it scares the shit out of her, because i like to beat the shit out of it where ever i go.. I only take it out once or twice a month, so why not rip the shit out of it..
She bought me my shep stage 4 tranny $2400, not many gf and wives will do that!! She wants to go to every car event that i goto, like the event that is this weekend at MIR she paid for our room, and said she cant wait for this weekend..
She is awesome at supporting me at what I like, and my hobby!!

My gf doesnt like Mitsubishi because everyone thats has one that she knows has problems. Its not the cars usually, its the owners. i hope to take her for a ride in one, one day just to see if she likes it or not. If not, i dont mind she can keep rolln' in the Kia. If she does then that would make me happy. Its a win win situation. If you have gf troubles you just need to sit down and talk about things if shes a keeper it will come out in both of you favors.

my wife has d.d. dsm's for 8 years now. when we were dating she wrecked her car and I bought her a 90 eclipse. She had never driven a 5 speed before that car it took some time but she loved that car. I just got rid of it this spring. The shell was just to far gone. She now has a 89 mirage turbo hatch. She love's that little car more then her eclipse.

I also have a 92 talon that she drives some times also. she will not drive the evo III she wants nothing to do with a rhd car and a twin plate clutch
