Well it all started when I moved to texas, I use to be in good health and shape I would work out every day eat healthy, lift weights, play baskeball, run, etc but now I see myself and wonder what happen to me where did all this weight come from "this is not me." So in the past year I went on a diet and lost 30lbs, I was doing good but some stuff was going on and I gained all the weight back so what I did was give up "my only friend was soda and junk food." I see myself and how out of shape I'm in now and how tired I've become well I no longer want to be tired all the time so this is the start of my new life style. First thing I am going to do is give up junk food and soda, I'll start to drink only water and eat healthy next I will start to work out walking, lifting weight, etc. I just want to fell like I did 7yrs ago I was never tired but now I am tired all the time thanks to my health. This thread will be abot my progress on my health to keep me motivated, I'll post my progress and keep it updated.

my best advice - besides physical activity which is a given - to staying healthy/maintaining good weight is to find hobbies or activities that will keep you occupied/relaxed/or in a good mood. Like get involved with the community or do volunteer work or something. Good luck man

Not sure if you read my post "HELP I'M FAT", but it is the same story as yours. Between working full time, going to college full time(I'm 30 btw) and the wife(26) being diagnosed with cancer I completely fell apart. I feel tired and sloppy, and I get out of breath doing the stupidest things. I was really into working out and lifting and blah blah blah, but I quit. I recently purchased another treadmill and decided I needed something to work towards. I do hate running so I'm not sure why I chose that but I did. I have a 30 week workout that will prep me for a marathon. By they end you are doing 20 mile runs. It's a great workout and I recently retyped it all in Excel. If you're interested I can e-mail it to you. I've also been doing body weight exercises for now until I feel like hitting the weights again.

Any way you could email it to me? I have asthma, and a heart valve disfunction, which makes me really tired. I once was in good shape as well, but over the last several years I have let myself go. I can't lift weights because of the heart thing, the only things advised is cardio, swimming, running, walking, and cycling. Thanks.

Definitely, what's your email and I'll send it tonight when I get to work.

My mom had the same heart valve issue since she was a kid. She ended up having open heart surgery and got her valves replaced. If I'm in a quiet room with her, i can hear her valves "ticking" it sounds like the alligator that ate the clock in captain hook.
