^^ That's a good point, you gotta wonder why it's in the shop. Anyway- you should also look on this sites classifieds, there are some good deals there too.
:talon:

check it out, this little pocket rocket has the wing, body kit, wheels ????????? must be one of those new invisible body kits im hearing about

Defintely seems like it was in an accident and a bodyshop or dealership is selling it. Be careful.

They possibly fixed the car before it got a salvage title on it???
Cars with pictures taken in bodyshops aren't usually there for nothing.......
They usually get something done.
since when does a 97 gsx come from the factory with a bodykit????

So i jsut called him and Asked

Me: "Whats wrong w. the car..

HIM: "well theres a couple things

1st) Window tint is fading so you would need to re-tint the window
2nd) Tèe Window Switch isnt working, so youd need to fix that since the windows dont work, and after that everything should be fine

And thats it everythign is fine, never been hit, no damage, and CLEAN TITLE"

Me: "Do you have VIN #"

Him: "Not right at the moment i can give you one later, and hangs up"

So i dno we'll C i might go look @ it and what not :)

I sense a lemon...dont do it man. I bet that shit is in its stage of crankwalk or needs some major upcoming work. Dont do what i did, (thinking i got a good deal), and in just 6 1/2 months, i have spent $7000 in repairs buddy. I own a lemon, and so can u...thats if you buy this car. Theres a reason why its at a mechanic shop, i dont think its in there just to take a picture saying "look im cool, im in mechanic shop getting fixed".

Find something else, if you must go AWD, wait it out. But dont forget, there are plenty of great condition GST's just incase u are not successfull, the only thing i ever regret about my car is buying a lemon, not cause its FWD.

If that car needs work, i wouldnt be paying more than $5000 for it.

True that, i think ill just keep looking, cuz i feel a sense of some BS up here, i already found a couple more im gonna have to look at :)

Thanks for the imput guys :)

I thought there was a problem with my car the day after I bought it :

me: Hmm lets roll down the windows so the ladies can see my pretty face under my 100% illegal tint windows

( pressing window button)

Me again : Damned peice of shit I got you yesterday and now your giving me attitude , i'm Pressing the window button at this point , then histericaly pounding it until I see the 'locke le Window ' button .

Personnal conclusion , Stupid button , stops little kids from repeatedly playing around with the buttons on a 4 door but Why does it lock the drivers side to ??

My advice to you , check what they did to it , get the vin's and get it inspected , if he looks unconfortable allowing you to do any of these tasks , tell him you don't want the car , and you'll be glad to spend 7,900 elsewhere

looks good pretty fair price, but do urself a favor befor u buy it make sure the belts have been replaced and the valve cover gasket isnt leaking like a motha and check the breaks, some people go pass the 60k tune-ups and deside to sell, i got stuck buying mine with 59 k and had to dump 800 for new belts and valve cover gasket job ect and still need new brakes, good luck

If this is the first car you are looking at definately let it go. It took me a good solid six months to find my car. I found it for 4k in the classifieds section of this forum (you guys rock!) and the only major problem is that the lower radiator support is bent, but the frame is in tip top shape and minimal rust. I would suggest what everyone else is keep looking to see if you can find something better/cheaper. I know there are cars even at dealerships for less then that. I would say a good price range to start with (if you indeed want a 97-99) is $5-$7k. Good luck and make sure any car you are intersted in you beat to mother hell during the test drive! he he he
