Will GCs work with these shocks?...

I'm currently running tokico hp blues with tokico springs that came in a package. This setup isn't high performance enough for me so i'm looking to upgrade to GCs and Koni yellows. I currently only have money for the GCs and i want to get them asap so i don't spend the money on anything else and because i'm just anxious.

My question is: Will the GCs and my tokico blues be really crappy together as far as ride quality? Also, will i be able to use the same set of GCs on the tokico and Konis?

Oh yeah, where and how do i order GCs with the springs rates that i want which are 450 front and 350 rear?

It's best to get GCs direct from GC, especially if you don't live in CA and can avoid making a donation to Haliburton, Inc. at the same time.

As to the shocks. I'm not sure that you want to run 450# springs with Tokiko HPs. They just don't have the rebound damping.

That comment on the RRE site is really to be taken seriously. If you don't have the money to do both, get shocks (only) if you want the car to handle; get springs (only) if you want to look good.

I ran stock springs with Koni Yellows for a summer of autoXing and it wasn't that bad.

With that said, however, and given what you have now, I'd just leave it alone and wait until you can do the GCs and Konis all at once.

I'm sorry if that isn't one of the options you listed.

Oops. Another issue. The mounting ring for HPs is different from the mounting ring for Koni SAs. So, if you did get the GCs now, you'll have to spend some more money when you get the Konis to get the GCs to work (again).

Not that I'm going to go out and kill a cow if you don't follow my suggestion, mind you.

ahh i thought that might happen about the mounting on different shocks. Well what if i got the Konis now with my tokico springs, would that work or are they mounted differently too? As far as i know my current springs just standard non-coilover springs. Would the car handle significantly better or will i only notice a big difference once i have the stiffer springs in combination with the Konis?

sorry for all the questions!
