vic,
well after all the hassle, my swap is done.......but just so everyone knows, it would have been pretty hassle free if i wasnt a maron by getting the wrong ones(95 with a banjo fitting) for my 91 laser.
first thing is first.......for once in my cars life, i dont have warped rotors and i don't think i will be warping them soon.
second.....slowing down off the highway(around 110 km/h to 50) is sooo smooth and way faster than before!......havent had a chance to really test them out, as i am still breaking them in.
i had to get custom break lines made to fit the banjo fitting, but if i got 93 or 94 awd brakes, it would have taken me maybe a half an hour(i have access to a shop with hoists and impact guns) i put on ceramic pads and raybestos(sp?) rotors.
maybe tomorow i will try a few 100-50's hard to see.
i would recomend it to anyone wiht a fwd car looking for a nice, cheap brake upgrade.
i picked everything up(new rotors, pads and used calipers and mounting brackets) for about 350 cad, but the lines ended up costing about 100 cad(really nice stainless lines) compared to over 100 for any typical big brake upgrade.
i might get brembo rotors in the future, but for now these thing are sweet!
:thumb: :thumb: for value!

haha ya warped rotors are ghey!
finally got a chance to do some hard braking.......
all i have to say is HOLY SH#T!
such a difference. 100 km/h- 50 is sooooo sweet! not too mention smooth!
like i said before....if you looking for a nice brake upgrade for a fwd, this is it!

if i get the 93 awd rotors and calipers, its going to be a bolt on no hassle job right? or will i have to fight to the death and learn anger management.

it will bolt right in.....just put on the new, bigger discs, then the calipers and screw them into the old lines, or new lines, which ever look to be in better condition.
as long as they are 93 or 94 you wont have a problem.
i have heard that they only did banjo fittings for early 95, but not sure how true this is....but it could be like the vented rear rotors in early 95....not too sure
can anybody clarify?

if you have a 1g and are upgrading to big brakes buy 93-94 calipers and they will bolt right in, dont buy 2g calipers

haha ya i found that out the hard way.....but now i got some nice stainless steel lines.....so its not that bad....just an excuse to get em.
once i had the lines, it was no hassle at all.....but if you dont want to get custom lines made, then stick with 1g to 1g and 2g to 2g
