H&R springs vs Skunk2 Coilovers.....

Ok i need some opinions on this one.

I picked up a complete set of tokkiko non-adjustable shocks however i have a set of skunk2 racing coilovers and a set of H&R springs w/ 2" drop.

Which setup should i use?

1. Tokkiko shocks with H&R springs

2. Tokkiko shocks w/ perches cut with the skunk2 coilovers

A friend of mine told me that the skunk2 coilovers will eventually ruin your tokkiko shocks. I really don't wanna change my shocks any time soon!!

I would really like to use the skunk2 setup for the reason of being able to adjust the height of the car but not at the cost of a new set of shocks!

I have H&R springs on my 1G and i absolutely love them. The ride quality is top notch for upgraded suspension. I'm not sure how good the skunk 2 coilovers are but my experience is that unless you get a full blown coil over setup like Tein, the coil overs will blow your shocks out.
There are so many crappy "coil over" kits that are just a cheap coil and a poorly machined perch. So i'd say don't hack up your shocks and use the H&R springs. Also think how often your going to get in there and adjust the ride height. hope that helps some.

there's no reason why coilovers would cause your shocks to blow. maybe if you choose the wrong spring rates or cheap struts/shocks, but the same goes for regular lowering springs as well.
