hey guys,
I have some questions about wheels. As the topic says I'm trying to keep my car as much as a sleeper as I can. My 90 talon tsi has the 16" swirl rims. Anyone know how wide those are? I think they're 6" wide. What are the other styles of dsm wheels? I know there are the five spoke 2Gs, and the GSX 17" 10 spoke star 2Gs. Anyone know how wide those are? Weight would be helpful also on those three. My other question is are there any other non-dsms whose wheels would fit? 3G RX7s or 3kGTs, etc.? Diameter, width, weight, and offsets? My last question is are there any aftermarket rims that look very similar to our stock rims but bigger, or wider? I like the wheels that I have for drag and everyday driving. They just need to be resurfaced. I'm looking for a good autocross, road course wheel thats 17x7.5-8. Thanks for the help guys and if my gibberish doesn't make sense I'll try to explain better. Later.

The 17" GSX wheels are 6.5" wide and I believe 16" DSM wheels are 6" wide. The 3G RX7 wheels will fit(16") and are pretty light. They are a good replacement wheel. Try the trader for some RX7 wheels.

Thanks 91 NT Eclipse for the speedy reply. Do you know if there are any fitment issues with the RX7 wheels? They are for a RWD car so I'm not sure if offset would be an issue. I think if there was spacers could probably fix that. Do you or anyone else happen to know how wide those wheels are? I'm also not completely opposed to aftermarket wheels but they need to be very similar to stock with the exception of size and width. This is probably completely out of the question, but does anyone know a company who could make a custom set of wheels? Like I would send them the stock wheel of my choice and they would duplicate it but to my size and specs. That would probably cost an arm and a leg but just curious. They could have an arm but I have a 5-speed so I'd need both legs. :D

I went with the 2G TSi 16" rims on my 92 1G Talon, and i refinished them, and i think it gives it that sleeper look, and makes the car look alot better, but its all in your style and opinion to go with what rims you want for your ride.
