Bad Shocks=Wheel Hop??

iono but stiffer motor mounts can help fix that

yes both poor shocks and also degraded motor mounts will promote wheel hope.

to check you shock , go to the car and pushdown on the car firmly and release. If it comes up and stops, then usually the shocks are good. If it bounces a few times, generally it means they are blown.

Fir the motor mounts... FWD cars usually suffer from wheel hop. I would suggest getting the energy suspension inserts or you can go the cheap way and fill the mounts in with window weld. I believe there is a vfaq on these.
