Sway Bar

Got a '95GST just starting autox. I am getting some sway bars from RM Racing. Was wondering if I should leave the smaller stock front bar on and just replace the rear bar so I could possibly get more traction to the inside front wheel coming out of a corner. Any ideas. Thanks.

2Gs front bars are a little on the small size so go ahead and replace it + put the new one on the rear for a nice setup.

An easy way to get rid of understeer is to unhook the front sway bar. I wouldn't upgade the rear AND unhook the front, that would make the car tailspin- happy.

Just replace the rear bar. Leave the front alone. Putting too big of a bar in the front will cause you to understeer and may also cause you to lose traction in the front when you try to power out of turns. Just remember, adding a bigger front bar, adds more traction to the rear, and adding a bigger bar to the rear, adds more traction to the front. DSMs understeer, so just leave the front alone.

I agree, keep the stock one up front and buy a suspension tecniques rear adjustable sway bar. Should have some very neutral handling and be able to over steer a little when you want.

Too late, it took me almost three hours to put the front bar in so the setup is both rm bars front and back with new Falken Azenis tires. I will be able to test at Cal Speedway in a few weeks in the G-stock category, though I will be cheating because of the rear bar(I am a newbie to autox and won't win anyway.)
