2g Rear Upper Strut Tower Bar on a 1g?

Does anyone know if a 2g Rear Upper Strut Tower Bar will fit a 1g? The only reason I'm asking is because you can get the 2g bar for like $18 bucks off of ebay but the 1g bar is like $60 (and hard to find at that, even though i've located a few).
