I've been savin up and am going to buy some kyb agx's and groundcontrol adjustable coil-overs. I don't care about the look of a drop but i do want some handeling results. i was thinking of dropping my car 1 inch all the way around?? will i need a camber kit for just a 1inch drop? i know haveing a little negative camber is good for handeling but if i drop it 1 inch will it make my tire wear just way to bad?? thanks for the help all

The camber wont kill your tires, toe will. Make sure you get an alignment right after you install the suspension. I waited like 3 weeks with mine and I could see being worn down. There was "tire dust" all over the side of my car, but I had an insane amount of toe. I'm currently running about 1.5-2 degrees of negative toe and there are no wear issues that I'm concered about (minus the fact that autox eats the living daylights out of them). Hope that helps.

I'm dropped about 2inches. I was really tired and I meant to say that camber wont be a problem, unless you want more of it, then get the camber kits. I got going on that and the toe issue and I got sidetracked, sorry about that.

With a 1inch drop the camber should remain close to stock so camber kits shouldnt be needed.

Just remember to get the alignment done so the toe doesn't eat away your tires. There I go again.....

Has anyone noticed something wrong about this, or am I just an idiot. AGX's are shocks, Coilovers are a whole replacement system that allows you to manually adjust the ride height of your car usually from a 1 inch drop to a 3 inch drop. If you were to go with the AGX's you would need to buy some drop coils, like Eibach Sportlines or something like that. Mine has a 1.7 or 1.8 around.

The ground control coil overs have just the adjustable sleeve and the spring. You would need to buy the shocks seperate. Most coil over kits do come with the complete assembly (shock, spring, uppermount ect.) like TIEN or JIC. Those are usually compression/rebound adjustable along with height and camber.

If you went with the AGX's and GC you would either need to: 1. disassemble your old shocks to get the upper mounting plate or 2. buy a new ones from ground control. Even if you went with AGX's and drop springs you would still need to get the upper mounting plate. Hope that helps.

i dont have a problem with disassembling my old shocks i didn't know u need to get an upper mounting plate though thanks for the information, i had thought the agx's came with everything. the "coil overs" i was refering to are just the kind that come with a sleeve and the spring not a shock. thanks all,
Ryan

thats what i was thinking too i had always thought they were a direct replacement too. does anyone with these shocks have anything to say?? i'm sure someone who bought a set would know for sure........... later all
