Does anyone make these bushings in poly or solid? They didn't come in the prothane complete kit or motor mount kit. I finally finished doing my entire car in poly and solid bushings and these are the only ones that seem like they should be available but I can't find them anywhere.

Good question I have been looking for those myself. You might try calling a dealership to see if they are available. A couple of people on here in the freeleance services make stuff on request.

how many would be seriously interested in a set of these? honestly these have been on my list things to make for myself for sometime just never gotten around to actually making them.

my plan was to go with solid aluminum

How beneficial would you say solid ones would reallly be is my question? For me personally it doesn't matter as I built chromoly replacement bars, but for discussion purposes and for others who can't go the route I did.

honestly i would say there's no real benefit to replacing those with solid aluminum but if yours are half rotted away why not go with solid aluminum instead of new pieces from the dealer

I do agree with this, however, from a production stand-point I think most DSMers are way to cheap to purchase solid ones for something that is really just going to increase engine rattle a bit more. If they do replace them they'll probably just throw like 10 washers on each side and call it good. ROFL

i just check with Mitsu and they are $4.95 a piece so you are talking $20 to get all new ones. to make a small batch i would guess they would cost around $15 each so $60 for a set if the demand with there i could see them being a cheap as $40 a set but not many cheap DSMers will be spending their money on these

if they were made in china in a batch of 1,000+ cost would be like $1 each and sell for $5 LOL

If you consider how many DSMers willingly fork out the cash for prothane, energy suspension, and avid bushings, then I don't see how $40-$60 for 1 more set of bushings is really pushing the envelope even for us confirmed DSM cheapskates. Especially as it finishes off the last of the bushings not addressed by any other vendor than Satan. Count me in if you decide to do this Adam, I'll be your guinea pig for prototyping if you need one.

$40-60 for 2 bushings that won't do anything is out of my budget that's for sure. None of my dsms were built cheap, but at that price I doubt hardly any will sell, like I was saying. The people looking to "upgrade" these are simply doing it to have shiny bushings in there, which is very few people on this board.
