I just received my Energy Suspension bushings today. I hope these aren't as hard to install as I'm anticipating. I can hopefully take my car to a friends shop and use his lift. I REALLY don't want to do all this on my back in the garage. Kind of bummed that I couldn't find the kit for the rear suspension bits.

I torched my old bushings out then cut the sleeve with a sawzall.

Here's how I installed them: a bolt, a nut, and two fender washers. I put my little bro to work. He had waaaaaay to much fun torching the old bushings out while I was working on some other stuff.

You dont need your car on a lift, nor will you do this on your back because the arms and other suspension parts need to come off so you can burn the bushings off, cut the outer sleeves and then press in the bushings in, so It makes no difference where you put your car other than on jacks because all the work happens off the car.

I'm in the middle of installing the energy master bushing kit. My only advice is to be prepared to cut and grind bolts. Over half of mine were rust-welded into the bushing sleeve and had to be cut into 3 pieces with a Sawzall just to be removed. And I'm not sure why you couldn't find the rear suspension bushings. My energy kit from STM is 2/3 rear suspension bushings. Only 6 were for the front control arms.

When I changed my Upper knuckle bushing I didn't need to torch it... or anything... It was literally gone... These are my Upper knuckle bushings...

Pic explains it...

I also used energy suspension bushings... No more squeaks after changing it...

Took like an hour and 30 minutes just for the top knuckle... I left it on the car thats why it took so long... I also used a 2 ton press... Had a friend help while I squeezed the press... Next time I remove the pieces to make it easier...

Okay, Torch (check) Sawzall (check) Thanks for the advice and heads up you all. And WES of course you found the master kit with ALL the bushings you need. You have a 2G. They still sell everything and more than you'll ever want for 2G. Us 1G folk need to deal with a shortage of supplies. I was told that companies discontinued their rear bushing set for 1G's.
