I put new brakes on last October and I didn't have any stop squeek. They still sqeuuk, months later. I noticed that the old pad had all the metal tabs ( low pad warning tabs I think ) taken off and I asked a guy about it and he said just to break them off. So either I basicaly redo my breaks and add the stop squeek or would it be a good idea to break off the tabs?

The warning springs don't usually make any noise until the pad wear down to where they rub on the rotors. I use brake grease on the backs of the pads before putting the backing shims on and a little on the shims that hold the pads in the brackets. I doubt breaking off the warning springs will fix your problem. Just pull the calipers and finish the job up.

You need to use brake grease on the backs and the sides of the bads. The spring clips also act as slider bars and most squeaks are caused by the pads sliding and vibrating on the clips. Grease those well.
