17'' or 18''

i dont know what size rim to get on 2g either 17'' or 18''. most people have said go 17 so you dont bend the rim. but how easy is it to bend a 18'' rim? will just hitting any pot hole bend it? i like the look of 18'' but is 17'' better for roads and performance?

The likelyhood of bending a rims depends on the sidewall height of the tire, not the size of the rims.

17x7" rim, 225/45/17 tire
18x7.5-8" rim, 235/40/18 tire.

I would get 18's if I was you, 17's look tiny on our cars big wheel wells.

get 18's with a 40 sereies tire, thats what i have, you will like them a lot better then the 17's. i was driving and instead of a center line on the road they had yellow parking blocks that looked just like the center line, and i hit one straght on pretty hard and it did nothing to my 18's i was pretty happy about that.

yeah, 40 series and you'll have no problems. still watch out for potholes and all. just an idea.

my konigs weight only a couple pounds more then stock, there isn't that much difference in weight between 17's with 45's and 18's with 40's, it just depends on the brand of rim also whether there heavy or not.

I just put some Harpoons on my car today. I love them already! Before I bought them, I checked out the 17", they looked way too small.
