biggest tires on

what are the widest tires that i can fir on a 16x7 rim with a:
40mm offset
45mm offset
48mm offset

also which one is the widest i can put on the car wihtout lookin like a lowrider. i want to get the rims and tires flush to the side of the car. i hate to ask a noob question like this but i get confused with offsets.

Well your offsets are backwards for wha tyou are looking for...
I personally wouldnt want a wider tire than 225 on a 7" wheel as Im sure it would be a little sloppy with all the sidewall flex...
