I just picked up a sway bar for my RS. A couple questions.

So today I picked up a sway bar, lower control arms and all the mounting hardware off a gs-t at a junkyard not to far from home. I was just wondering if when I swap in the gs-t control arms am I going to have to get an alignment for the back. Becauase i just got one last week and that would suck if I would have to get one again. thanks.

Haha! Wow. If it's not hard, figure it out for yourself. Well, since you're lazy, GS-T control arms aren't any different from your RS. Personally, I would get an alignment. But you should know that since this isn't a hard question.

I said it wasn't a hard question because I know there are many many people on this site that know the answer. Thank you though. So dont think it will mess up my current alignment after installing the gs-t control arms?

I think I accidently got the sway bar and control arms off a gsx. Im not sure though. Are the control arms on the gsx the same as the ones on the gst? Will they still work fine on my rs Are they different sizes? thanks.

All the arms are the same on the gsx and gst. Trailing, lateral and toe arm = the same. I have know idea what comes on the rs. Have you jacked up the car and looked?

Thanks alot. The rs ones are the same I thInk except there not reinforced or have sway bar mounts. Does anyone know if the gst and the gsx sway bars are the same besides the thickness. And back to my main question... If I swap the gst/gsx control arms in will I need to get an alignment? Where's Locke and bullett when you need them. Lol

For ####s sake slow down on the posting,

An install of a swaybar has no effect on your alignment, an "anti-swaybar" as suspension nazi's call it only puts opposing force on either side of the car. It does get complicated, but that's a simple explanation.

The arms should be a bolt in affair. There are only three bolts holding them in place and none have adjustment.

The GSX sway bar is different. Look here to see:

Thanks alot. I just figured out I accidently got the sway bar off a gsx but I can still use the control arms so I guess its not too bad. So I'll either get an oem sway bar off a gs-t or save up for an rm one. Does anyone know how big of a difference the rm one is compared to the oem one. Does it greatly increase performace over oem or is it not worth it? Thanks.

If I was you I'd just run the 3g one.

Kevin

I was checking your build thread on MM. If you keep putting 3g parts on there we're not going to allow you to continue calling it a DSM. LOL j/k

OP, awd cars might just have a different shape because of the exhaust. If the nt exhaust isn't in the way I don't see any problems using it.
