These coilovers are awesome (the SS) , They were fairly easy to install and the difference is amazing. They are set the way Tein specifies and the ride is good.
I'll probably lower it a little more though. Right now it sits like the Eibach Pro-kit, about an inch lower than stock.
I took my car through some twisties and my car feels more like its leaning into the turns rather than leaning out. It also feels like my car is staying planted better, rather than leaning back so much when I floor it.
I recommend these to anyone.

The SS kit is awesome. High quality suspension. It rides smooth, no rattles, or bouncy ####. I'm lowered a little less than halfway down, about 1.2 inches (their suggested ride height), and the shocks are on setting #6 (they have 16 settings). I'm probably going to lower it just a little bit more, but I'm waiting till I replace my brakes, then I'll just do it all at once. sounds like eclipsd has the ultimate setup though...Type flex with edfc...put that set up on, what are you waiting for?

I put on my Tein SS tomarrow, I can't wait! Sential, I just wanted to ask you if you had the upper mounts? And also what would you suggest for the setting? Im wanting to go 1.5" in fron and 1.7" in back. And with the numbers, 1 would be the softest and 16 stiff? and for a good smooth ride, do i go smooth or stiff? Please let me know, Joe

I have mine on about 1.5 in front and back, with the settings on 6 on all four shocks. I don't have the upper mounts, I used the stock ones, and they work fine, i'm completely satisfied. I'll take a pic this weekend, sorry I've lagged.

I got them on my car now! and boy am I hitting them corners! They are great. I made a mistake on my earlier post, i meant to say 1.7 front and 1.5 rear....and thats where its at...I also have them set at 8, but im not to sure if im going the right way.

SENTIAL, do I got up the numbers to have a better street ride quality or down? Thanks, Joe

actually you have it completely wrong. 1 is the softest, 16 is the hardest. The recommended setting is 4. The ride is good at 4, but I stiffened it up a little to 6. Each setting controls the bound and rebound.

How do you know what your exact drop is? People keep asking me how low my car is with my Tein Flex and Im curious what I have it set to.

hey whatup, post 2...movin on up there
I got tein ss an absolutely love it.....still haven't played around much with the stiffness settings.....but for the past few weeks its been on the stiffest setting.....anything less seemed bouncy....but that playing was before camber and alignment......got it set around 2 inches lower on all 4......oh yeah...to measure u'r drop u measure from the center wheel cap to the bottom of the fender.....should be somewhere like 13-15 inches

Joe

You would have to measure from the center of the rim to the top of the wheel well with the stock suspension first. Then after installing the Tein's measure again and figure out the difference.

Ok, I just put in my Tein Flex with edfc put in. I have it on 12 right now, kinda soft, but still playing around with the settings. Being in NY, the roads get kinda tough. Height is 1.7" front , 1.5" rear. I was wondering if anyone has adjusted their camber and castor as well as toe, I had severe toe issues when doing my allignment, and now the mechanic reccomends a bushing kit to reduce the negative camber and left wheel castor. The castor problem is prolly due to a control arm that I broke hitting a manhole 2 months back which I fixed, but the car still steers slightly to the left. Is this bushing kit done alot when lowering the car? Or is negative camber something that is prefered by most on this site? I dont want to change tires every 8 months, but if by lowering my car Ive helped steer response, I dont really want to lose that either?
