In the next few weeks Im buying a set of megan coil-overs for my 2g.

My problem:

New England. The car has spent its whole life on bumpy, cracked, and pot hot infested roads. The entire shock assembly and bushings are complete toast. My right front shock makes this awful rattle when driving over anything.

My Question(s):

I understand that the Megans come with upper aluminum mounts with the "pillow-ball bushings" to replace the stock steel mounts.
What other bushing components (for shock mounting) will I need to purchase from Mitsu that would be reused with the megan coil overs?

My Goal:

End all mystery noises emitted from my obliterated stock 10 year old suspension.

Thanks guys.

I believe the Megans come as a complete set, so there shouldn't be any need for any bushings on the coilovers themselves.

There are however (per front - one side):
- lower shock bushing in the lateral control arm
- inboard bushing on the lateral control arm
- inboard bushing on the compression control arm
- two bushings on the upper control arm
- sway bar bushing
- and all the ball joints

Recently refreshed the front of the car and replaced all three control arms when I installed my coilovers. New bushings and ball joints all the way around. Really restored the liveliness of the steering.

Also a little side note. When you torque all you nuts and bolts, make sure the car is on the ground in its rested state (lower the fronts onto a set of ramps). If you torque the bushings at full droop with the car in the air then it will cause excessive wear when they are loaded (possibly premature tearing).
