FWD to AWD steering rack

Does anybody know if there are any differences in the steering racks between a FWD turbo eclipse and an AWD turbo eclipse? I have a 91 AWD with a bad steering rack and a good one that came out of the same year car but FWD. I just thought I would ask before I go messing around with trying to do the swap and end up tearing a bunch of stuff apart for nothing. If anyone knows off the top of your head please let me know. Thanks much in advance.

As long as both of them are the same type of transmission (manual/automatic) then they are interchangeable.

Not sure but CAPS does show a different part number for a/t and m/t steering rack.

Yeah, they both are from manual trans'. That's awesome. I think I will go ahead and give it a shot. Thanks for the replies, ya'll. I'll let you know if it works if anyone is interested.

Ive pulled 2 from the junkyard and never payed any attention to whether they came from auto or manual. One is in my car and the other is in a friends car. I guess I will have to keep an eye out for both and see if there is any physical differences.

Makes me wonder if it's possible to swap in an old Evo rack... that would be cool.
