1g awd brakes on a 1g n/t fwd

will this work because i can get a whole set of rotors for really cheap.there brand new and i need new brakes.any input would help.

If you're talking about the dual piston "big brake upgrade" yes it will work.

Unless you're getting a setup off of a late '92 AWD or later, it's the same front rotors and your NT, IIRC.

If you want to upgrade from the brakes you have you'll want to get the dual piston calipers and larger rotors from a 93+ AWD, 3000GT SL, or Diamante. The VFAQ shows you how to swap them. It's a simple bolt on swap. Remove your old rotors and calipers, and bolt the new ones on.
