VSS for speedo or ABS?

I just bought 95gst knuckles because mines have seized axles that I can no longer use.

95 GST dont have those VSS holes what are they used for exactly on the 98 TSI because I coulda sworn there is a speed sensor on the transmission as well.

Well w/o the sensors it won't work, but will it be any different from a TSI w/o ABS ?

I'm fine with that because those sensors cannot be saved.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are asking? Does your car have ABS? If your car has ABS and your new knuckle does NOT have a sensor hole, your ABS will not work properly. The speed sensor on the transmission is for your speedometer. I don't believe the ABS computer uses that signal but I could be mistaken.

Yes, I know it won't work, but I'm fine with that but will the braking effort change since it will not pulse ? I know the stopping distance would increase since the brakes can lock now.
