3000gt calipers- unanswered questions

I've heard several different things about this, but i'm still wondering a few things. First of all on this thread:

it plainly states that you are able to use the 3kgt calipers, but on several other threads, which i cannot find to name, it states that the calipers wont fit on a dsm. I've had a hard time finding info on this, so i kinda did my own research. Thanks to the guys at JNZ tuning, they display these diagrams:
The 1990 FWD hub assembly

How wide will the rotors need to be? I know i will need to make brakets and such for them. Also, will i need to upgrade my master cylinder?

Lastly, is this really worth it? will the calipers be heavy? Would it just be cheaper and easier to just do the 93-94 awd dsm caliper upgrade? I really need some answers on this stuff, its definetly one of those grey areas.

What is it that your looking to do?

For most people upgrading to the dual piston caliper and a good set of pads and quality rotors is all that's required to get some good brakes that don't warp every 20k.

If you aren't planning on track days or other open road course work, it probably isn't worth the work/expense.

Not sure exactly what more you are trying to find. The other sources you are talking about most likely say that the calipers do not direct bolt on to DSM's. But they do work with the adapter shown in the first link you posted. The rotors used are the stock Mustang Cobra rotors. As far as the master cylinder goes, you do not have to upgrade it, but you can use the 3kgt VR4 master cylinder if you choose to. Hope this clears everything up.
