Non OEM Power Steering Components?

I have a leak in either the rack or the hose from the power steering and also the usual one from the power steering hose about the alternator. I looked for a bit of informatio on using non oem hoses and rack but didn't find what I was looking for. So sorry if it has been discussed as I am sure it has. Any negative effects of replacing the hoses and the rack with say autozone parts or schucks parts?

No trouble at all. There are no priests at Mitsubishi that bless their parts, despite what some of the overly-devoted choose to believe.
For hydrauic hoses, you're probably even better to take them to a hydraulic shop in your area and have them re-done there.
