Serious question before modifying suspension...

I am just finishing up my 16g kit...and obviously the next step for me is to adjust the suspension, I mean I barely get traction now with the t25 on there at stock ride height...I can only imagine how crappy it's going to be with the new turbo and all on there...

But today, looking @ my strut towers it looks as if theres rust on and around the place where the shocks and springs are. I don't know what the actual area is called, but there is rust, and breaking down. I know I'm probably not the first person to have this problem but I was wondering if there is any way to rectify it. Is there a way I can weld or do something...I don't want to spend $500+ on tokigo for it to either be dangerous or something, then have to resell for less then I spent. Also if this is a big issue, it probably would be in my best interest to find another FWD shell to swap everything into that DOESNT have this issue and go from there.

Please let me know guys
I'm hoping something can be done to rectify this...:(

It is typical for 2Gs to rust on the tops of the front shock towers. Spray a bunch of rust-eater on them on a regular basis and consider getting a front strut-tower brace for added support (to reduce any flexing)

The other places you will probably rust early are the rear hatch and the inside of the rear quarter-panel, right behind the doors, down low. Keep an eye on these, too. The second place requires that you take the interior, plastic, sides off, remove the thin, gray, foam panels, and look carefully with a flashlight.

If it's got holes just get a plate rewelded at any decent shop (A shop that does REAL fabrication (IE: Roll cages and such), not Ricey Mc Ricerton's Cold Air Intake Installs).

People sort of overblow this situation, not to say that it isn't a problem, however.
