i have been wanting another steering wheel for awhile because mine looks like crap and i cont like thoes things you can put over them to cover it up. i was looking on ebay and found the rally art one for like 60 bucks shipped and i was wondering if anyone else had one? i know the whole rally art thing is kinda cheesy but if it looks decent and works fine i think i can live with it.

thanks in advance tuners

here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-9...ewItemQQcategoryZ33704QQitemZ8009614816QQrdZ1

the good thing about the rally art tho is that it comes with a momo hub which could later be used to get a momo steering wheel if i wanted to.

Personally, no matter how good that deal looks, I would not buy anything from the guy in the first link. 66 negatives in one month? 736 in the past year.. Dealing with someone like that is like sticking your quarter into a slot machine in Vegas.

Thats 66 negative out of 1221 total sales, and the negative feedback looked nit-picky to me. Also 736 out of 15854, which amounts to 95.3% positive feedback. Sounds like a good seller to me, plus from personal experience we've ordered 3 times from the seller at my work, and we always got what we ordered. Hope this helps. I Think I'm going to order the same thing from this vendor.

thanks for all quick input. i think im going to go with that bride steering wheel because bride is well known for these type of things. has anyone else had any experience with these ebay steering wheels? also it says that its 320mm which is around 25 inches. how much smaller is this one over the stocker?

thanks tuners

25 inches! Are you driving a semi. ROFL 320mm is around 12.5 inches, stock is around 14 inches. I had a 300mm Momo wheel, that was too small. I now have a 330mm Momo that is a more acceptable size. I like the smaller wheel since it increases leg room and being that it is smaller you have less leverage and increases steering effort a little. This gives a better feeling of the road, in my opinion at least. Also as a side note I am very happy with the quality of both Momo wheels that I had.

Well, you're lucky. 66 negatives in one month is bad in my opinion, no matter what the percentage. There are plenty of sellers that have similar sales figures and have less negatives. I'm sure those 66 (67 now actually) people that left the complaints (and the 47 that left neutrals) would agree.

lucky, no. 95% of the time people are totally satisfied. If you read the neg. feedback its not from people who didn't receive the product; the complaints were about small things, mostly slow shipping. Ask any vendor if they would be happy with customers being satisfied 95% of the time, and they will say yes. Its the nature of the beast with sales-you just can't please everyone all the time. Personally, I would bet large amounts of cash over and over again if I were betting with a 95% chance of winning. I'm not arguing just about this particular vendor, but also sales in general. On ebay most vendors work very hard to get people to remove neg feedback which artificially bumps up their feedback rating, but this vendor might just not bother with the bullshit. You can't just go jumping to conclusions about someone and putting it up on the internet. Your messing with someone's livelyhood. Salespeople live and die by their reputation, and to have someone knock it without even any direct experience is just wrong. My wife is the general manager of a Ace hardware-do you think she has 100% customer satisfaction? Heck no. There are just some people that can't be pleased. If you don't want to buy from this vendor, fine. But don't trash them on the internet when you don't know what your talking about. I believe thats why theres a report heresay button and a policy that you shouldn't speculate on a subject; you should only give info from direct knowledge or experience.

I'm gonna have to say that was a typo hahaahaha. im thinking about buying the bride one this comming friday if i have enough money. ill post a review later if i end up getting it

Unless you have very short legs, I would suggest that you not buy a flat 320mm wheel.

Steering wheels are like seats. You need to try them before buying.

For the most part, I was generalizing about Ebay sellers. I was using this vendor as an example because he's the one that's posted in this thread, so don't talk to me about hearsay, knowledge and experience if you don't know me. I have been using Ebay for years with a few complaints, but not many because I limit the type of sellers that I buy from.

Yes, these would normally be small things, but when a lot of the complaints are mentioning that the vendor doesn't even respond to emails, that concerns me. If I were to buy something from this guy and something does happen to be wrong with it, I want to have the peace of mind that he will work with me to fix the problem. With so many new negatives happening all the time (two new ones today btw) that leads me to believe that someone like this doesn't care about customer service once he's made his profit.

Ask any vendor if they would be happy with customers being satisfied 95% of the time, and they will say yes. Its the nature of the beast with sales-you just can't please everyone all the time. That's great for you, but i'm not a gambler and I don't have money to burn if I lose. I want to be 100% sure i'm going to get the product i'm spending my hard earned cash on every time. Does that mean i'll only buy from 100% rating vendors? Not necessarily, but i'd like to at least have some kind of sign that the vendor is going to work out problems, (i.e. responses to negative feedback, etc.)

I'm not arguing just about this particular vendor, but also sales in general. On ebay most vendors work very hard to get people to remove neg feedback which artificially bumps up their feedback rating, but this vendor might just not bother with the bullshit. You may see it that way, but I don't. I see it as customer service. If someone is actually taking the time to make things right and get his feedback repaired, I don't see how that's a false rating. That's called "making the customer happy", and i'm sure if the customer didn't feel better about the vendor in the end, they wouldn't remove the negative.

In my opinion, if a vendor (any vendor, not just this guy) doesn't take care of the small percentage of people that have problems, then they deserve to be messed with. Businesses that survive in the long run are ones that care about the people that they are providing services to.

Your Ace Hardware comment seems irrelavent to me in this situation. With a brick and mortor store like that, if you have a problem, just take your receipt and go deal with it in person. With Ebay, if you have a problem, you have to try to contact the seller, then deal with shipping if you do happen to work out some kind of deal (in a working person's life, dealing with shipping can be a giant inconvenience). If the dealer doesn't want to play, you most likely end up taking a loss, unlike a real store where you can usually talk to someone such as the BBB if necessary.

So with all that said, do what you like. Have your opinion and i'll have mine. I haven't been burned too badly on ebay, but I have a few friends who have because they thought "well, he has more positives than negatives"...

I assume you mean 5' 4" (since we do not allow lephrechans to post here). ;)

Maybe a flat wheel will be OK, since you will already be pretty far forward. But the wheel will be more than inch farther away from you and smaller (giving you less leverage), so you might still want some dish. I am 5' 11" and added a small spacer even after getting a medium dish. But I have weak arms. YMMV.

I would try to find some people with aftermarket wheels and test it.

i drove my buddy scotts (v8s_are_slow) car once when his foot was hurt and hes got a sparco one i think. i like it alot but i hug the steering wheel and drive with two hands on the wheel at all times. another reason why i want one is for the preformance. the way i see it a smaller, cleaner steering wheel will give me better control of the car. please correct me if im wrong.

The ebay ralliart wheel from the first post looks nice, but it's for 89-94. I assume the hub for 95-99 is different? If it's the same I'll probably get this wheel or one just like it. I'm looking for a Momo Jet style wheel, and this looks pretty good. Anyone know if the 1g and 2g hubs are the same?

its the same hub

"MOMO JET STYLE STEERING WHEEL
320mm BLACK STEERING WHEEL
RALLIART HORN BUTTON AND RED STITCH

THIS SET OF RALLIART STEERING WHEEL
AND MOMO HUB ADAPTOR WILL FIT"

Is the button Ralliart or wheel? ROFL

I would like proof of it's in fact a Ralliart item. Too much fake stuff like this on eBay nowadays.
