jacked up to fit the 26" tall slicks (hopefully)

Forget the ride, unless you mean the one to the hospital. 750s in the rear will cause the car to snap-spin if you sneeze.

OMG

Do you still drive the car on the street? How's the ride?

I once had 572'ish lb/inch springs in the rear and the ride was harsh to say the least...

its harsh to say the least, but i still drive it on the street all the time. my 1g gst is my dd but i still drive this one to work when its nice out. it bounces a lot, and makes my kidney's hurt LOL but i never drive over like 10 miles to get anywhere in town so its not that bad. i ran errands in it today.

Looks good. I have D2s on order from TSF as well, but my custom spring rates wil not be that aggressive. My car is setup for auto-x. Hopefully they ship on time... :)

I wouldnt look forward to too much then, especially if you have and bumpy courses in your region.

How so? And define "bumpy" :)

Do you have D2s, and do a considerable amount of auto-x? Share some experiences if you do.

I think I only have one course that could be considered bumpy. With the amount of adjustment the D2s have, I think I can get things setup properly. Only one way to find out.

Yes i do have the D2's, and yes they are bumpy on certain courses.

First off, I got the 9/7k springs, which are the lower end rates that they come with......BUT WAIT A MINUTE..... the shocks arent revalved for the lower spring rates. No no no. D2 just says that they fall within the +2 -2 range of the shocks, so what you get is a too high compression/rebound for the springs you choose. (and there is NO way to tell what springs you actually got, since there are no part numbers on them like GC or the like)

Now, if you got the 11/9k spring rates, then yay, they will match the shocks...but they are still 50/50 adjustable, so if you want more rebound, you get more compression as well.

Also, saying that there are more adjustments on the D2s is not really all its cracked up to be. I mean, yes... it is 36 way adjustable, but most of the adjustments dont do much unless you give it a full turn, which in turn gives you a total of 5 way adjustable (youll notice what im talking about when you get yours).

Im not saying they are bad. I like how my car handles now with the uped spring rate, and the adjustable shock body is nice for getting a ride height that matches your taste. But, id have to say these would suit a road course better than an autox event IMO.

Cool, thanks for the input. I have a better picture now of what to expect. :thumb:
