Can 1gs handle

Can a 1g dsm handle as good as a 2g. I want to build a 1g to do road racing & autoX. Some people say that 1gs can't handle well because of their suspension type. however, the guys at RRE seem to have success racing 1gs. What do you guys think.

-RRE tune their FWD to handle like a RWD.

I'd say that they can handle fine. 2G cars come with bigger tires stock, so that may be why they do better stock for stock.

But 1G cars are lighter, so that is good.

With the right spring/shock/swaybar/bushing/strutbar/wheel/tire setup you will do fine.

Mabye put the battery in the back and on the passenger side.
