don't get me wrong, i love my toyos, but they're sidewall is a little too soft for my taste. they're great tires, but i need something firmer so i can get some more direct handling. wondering if anyone liked a tire with a rigid sidewall. something in the 40s range for sure

You might want to call TireRack and such and see if you get someone good. Not many of us have really tried all that many different tires, and new ones are always a lot better than the ones we've beaten the hell out of - which were the best-ever when they were new.
