Vancouver,
Hey guys. I am curious to know how many of you are having issues with aftermarket wheels getting structuraly bent over time. I keep hearing this from different people that they bend their rims fairly soon after getting their rims. I presume from regular city driving. Never saw this happen with stock wheels. What's your experience?

i have had 225/40/18 on a 18 x 7.5 rim for 2 1/2 years now, have not bent a rim yet. however, i would stay away from any big bumps, potholes. especially at any kind of real speed (30-40mph+). and i would not go with a smaller sidewall than a 225/40 (do not do a 205/40/, looks good, but you will be pron to bent rims).

You are asking for a sweeping generalization that is bound to be wrong.

Some aftermarket rims will survive impacts that would totally destroy a stock rim. Some aftermarket rims will bend if you don't torque the lug nuts correctly.
