hey guys... im running on 17x8 konig villains with 245/40/17s, and those tires are getting too expensive for the life that im getting out of them... they are lots of fun, but don't last for commuting!! im wondering if anybody knows of a specific wheel that will clear the caliper on baer 13" front brake upgrade... im running 1.7 degrees in the front for camber and im tired of only 10,000 miles on a set of $700 tires... i have to run a 17" wheel as a minimum. I bought a set of 17" konig tuners... and those hit the calipers... does anyone know of any specific rim type that clears.. or if the factory 17" wheels off the 99+ DSMs will clear those brakes. im looking to run some 225's on the rims...

thanks , Ray

I'm running the same wheels as you. I got 20k miles out of Dunlop SP8000's 235/45R17's, with tons of auto-x, a bunch of drag racing, and a few open track days. Now I'm running SP9090's that are only 225/45 R 17's. They don't follow the road as bad, but they're about as small as you can go on the rim. Try going with the 235's at most (I was cutting 1.6's on those last year, with no stutter box). The 9090's suck for 60's now :(
