I am looking for a rear strut bar for an eclipse that goes out of the struts then down. Most right now go up and across. This is good to clear the trunk lid in the rear. I saw them on Ebay about 5 months ago made by Pilot Motorsports I beleive. I have seen them at cars show before that though.

You are correct that the worthless rear STBs by Pilot Motorsports have brackets that curl down. Coincidentally, this is the reason that they are worthless for anything other than being a bracket for a harness or strapping a childseat to.

Ok, well i guess i will not be buying on one from them then, i liked it because my old bar caused problems with the trunk cover and since it goes down it would get rid of that problem, the the issue that worried me was how strudy it would be with all those bends, but by the way it sounds it is a POS.

The best stb I have seen (cost/function) is from RoadRace Engineering.
Solid, no flimsy brackets, and the bars are straight, so no flex issues.

The latest revision is adjustable as well.

i was looking into getting the RRE strut bars as well. anyone got some pics installed on a 2g rear? what does 'trimming of shock-access covers' mean for 2g installs? i currently have the machv rear and i just leave the plastic pieces off. i don't like cutting stuff up =P
