Question, i just cheked out my shocks today, it turns out theyre KYB stock. I like KYB's and its not a problem, I'm just curious is it just mine or does everybody have those stock?

More than likely.. in all my dsms 2g's did not have them, and they are not good to buy for lowered 2g's as they sit too high.

Ummm like newsflash....

All 2gs were KYB's...

It's one of those things like goodyears may come on a $10k econobox but they are'nt the same goodyears as go on a formula one car.

The stock shocks are KYB GR-2s

The KYB's everybody is talking about are the AGX's... There are also GAB's for more money... They are valved for more spring rate.

For the street either get the koni yellow or the AGX's.. If I was into cornering as much as the 1/4 I'd be running neither of them..

Someone told me they were GR-2's

Oh well

Lets just call them POS-1's

Maybe that someone was a Mitsubishi dealer. After all, when you get a replacement shock from them, it's a KYB GR-2 ... at least, that's what they just put on my car.

The stock shocks on a 2G are pretty well matched to the stock springs. A bit more rebound damping never hurts (my car handled much better with Konis and stock springs than it did with stock shocks and stock springs), but GR-2s aren't the worst stock shocks.
